What does Domain look like?
BlueScope describes a classic colour inspired by fields of golden wheat, with vibrant gold undertones. As a fence, it suggests natural sandstone and outback-style planting like succulents, cacti and native grasses.
Roof colours that sit near Domain
Classic Cream is described as a warm, yellow-toned cream, and BlueScope's approximate screen values for the two are very close. It's also one of the coolest-running roofs in the range.
Paperbark, a pale brown with hints of cream and grey, is softer, for a roof that sits with the fence without matching it. Compare the real roofing sample against the fence outside, since a fence that's weathered for years may not look like new steel.
Could a roofer get Domain anyway?
Possibly, through BlueScope's Colorbond steel Studio, which offers over 200 colours matched by RGB, HEX, Dulux or RAL references. Minimum order quantities apply, so it's rarely worth it for a small job. A new fence, by the way, is work for a fencing contractor; we only pass on roofing jobs.
If you're matching a fence
We'd put a Classic Cream sample sheet against the fence first, then Paperbark, and see which sits better in your light. If neither looks right, a clearly different roof colour often looks more deliberate than a near miss. Colorbond is a BlueScope trademark, and we're independent of BlueScope.
Want a roofer to take a look?
Tell us the job and your postcode. We match it with a Find My Roofer certified roofer who specialises in that kind of work, and they call you to quote. Your number goes to them alone.
