What does discontinued mean for your roof?
Nothing changes for the roof you've got. It only matters when you need more steel in that colour, because a roofer can't order Mangrove sheets or flashings off the standard list.
BlueScope publishes no current description or heat figure for Mangrove, so there's no swatch here, and we won't name a closest current colour on paper.
Matching a Mangrove roof, step by step
Confirm what you've got
Find the original quote, invoice or plans. Old colours look alike after years outdoors, so don't go by memory.
Ask about special order
Ask your roofer whether Mangrove can come from BlueScope's secondary range, and how long it will take.
Ask about a Studio match
BlueScope's Colorbond steel Studio offers over 200 colours matched by RGB, HEX, Dulux or RAL references. Lysaght says minimum order quantities apply, so it suits a bigger job.
Compare in daylight
Hold any new sheet against the old roof outside. Weathered steel may not match a fresh sheet exactly. Painting new sheets to match isn't the answer, as BlueScope says overpainting voids its warranty.
What we'd ask the roofer
For a few sheets on a roof plane nobody sees, we'd ask about special order first. For an extension or anything visible from the street, we'd price a Studio match against re-sheeting that whole plane in one of the 22 current colours, then pick whichever will still look right in ten years. We're independent; BlueScope owns the Colorbond trademark.
Want a roofer to take a look?
Tell us the job and your postcode. We match it with a Find My Roofer certified roofer who specialises in that kind of work, and they call you to quote. Your number goes to them alone.
